the BEST PIZZA IN OKC is here. empire doesnt compare to this place although they too have great pizza. the crust here is perfection. what makes a great pizza is the crust. they have the perfect recipe for pizza crust here its chewy with the right consistency. they also char it slightly intentionally to add a sophisticated nuance to their pizza. you also have a broad selection of the some of the best craft beer at this location. i dont remember the name but the beer i had was amazing. smelled like peanut butter and had a rich feel in the mouth. great beer and great pizza. the service was also seasoned and very informative about the beer. the staff here is excellent and greatly appreciated. reminds me of some place in central california for some reason.
I have been to so many OKC breweries that I can’t keep track of them all, but when I walked into Fair-Weather Friend, I instantly recalled the fine beers I had consumed on a previous trip. You have to know where you’re going (or use a mapping app) to get here, because FWF is not visible from any major thoroughfare. Parking is in the back.
Once inside, the tap room is sleek and simple, basic tables, chairs, and bar stools in a sea of blonde wood. If IKEA brewed beer, this would be their tap room. As per usual, I went with a flight, all new brews from my previous visit. I went with That Bag Boy, a Kellerbier (5.4%ABV), followed by Meadowlark, a Kölsch (5.4%ABV), Hudson’s Fresh Hop, an IPA (5.4%ABV), and My Friend Nectaron, also an IPA (7.0%ABV).
My normal routine is to have a pint of my fave off the lot, and this time the Kellerbier won hands down. Kellerbiers (“Cellar Beers”) are uncommon in the US, and this was the best one I have had since I was in Germany. It was light and crisp, yet had a nice malty finish that left me enjoying each swig long after I sent it down the hatch.
I also liked their attention to glassware, because knowledgeable brewers know that each style requires a different type of vessel. I even bought one to take home. And I’ll be back for more fine beer next time in OKC.
Super dope spot got a lot of different beer choices. They do pop-up shops from time to time. And different events, they have a pool table in the back that is absolutely top of the line there wood-fired pizza is unbeatable and if you like wings, you have got to try their Buffalo. Love this place and the people are always so kind ❤️
Really good pizza! 🙂 A little pricey for a 12-inch but the crust is perfect and the toppings are quality!
Service was great! Katrine was super nice and helpful when ordering!
We don't live in the area but it's our second time here so that probably says something!
Enjoy!
Beer choices are incredible and I don’t like beer. I’m also from Chicago and know pizza. This is GREAT pizza and really worth the visit. We have a great go-to place close to home and will make this a regular stop.
Great beer and great pizza.
We tried about half of the beers available and each was excellent and unique. It obvious these brewers bring amazing skills.
The pizza, house made ingredients including the sauce, dough that rests for 48 hours, and even the cheese.
FWF is a must stop if you are a beer person or want the best taste of OKC.
We stumbled upon FWF on accident. But it quickly became a happy accident! Our first time in OKC and this place made us feel right at home. The bartenders were helpful and the patrons were friendly. The pizza was good And I’d def pair it with the Pizza Pils. Thanks for the hospitality and yummy drinks y’all!
This has become one of my favorite breweries. The beers are always good and it has the Best Pizza ever!!! Get the Prosciutto Pizza
